It all starts in the womb

Lots of our health problems start way back in time when we were in our mothers womb. The nutrition your mother received from the food she cooked and ate will have affected your own body and the diseases it may have. Poor diet in our own mothers make our chances of survival in a more abundant world  less than if we too lived in a world of shortage. Our bodies develop in the womb and are programmed by the food our mothers eat. We are born big or small depending on this. However our bodies find it hard to adapt if our own food intake is different from our mothers. We are in greater danger of getting fat if our mothers ate less food in poorer circumstances than ourselves.

So be careful what you eat if you are pregnant. Ask your  mother what she ate when she was younger and her mother before that.  Chances are you will notice that your great grandparents and grandparents are thinner than you. They ate in a time when food was short and money was tight.

Now here is where the problems starts, if you actually get pregnant and eat well, in the future when money gets tighter and the world food supply gets smaller, your own children will have trouble adapting to a different type of diet.

Be careful what you eat, each mouthful reaches out into the future and touches the unborn in ways that many of us will never appreciate.

We are what we eat, we are the sum total of our thinking, we are creating the future with what we eat.
